The Little Prince

This is my grandson in a papoose style backpack worn by my daughter.  He has the most interesting pedigree.  From my daughter's side...Scotland, Ireland, Welsh, English, Netherlands.  Typical old America.

But my son-in-law is really a mix of cultures!   His mother is half Swedish (Stockholm) and half Sicilian.  His father is half Egyptian (Cairo) and half Pakistani (Karachi).  Talk about a culture mixup! 
 
My daughter's children favor her genetics with one small, very cool addition.   They both have Arabian eyelashes.  If you don't know...they have a Double row of eyelashes, I assume it is to keep the sun and sand out!  But, they are amazing.  My son-in-law has lashes most women would kill for, and his sister looks like she is wearing fake eyelashes!

So, it was fun to realize that my little portrait of his face (including his smushed little nose) was taken in a checkered backpack.  I, immediately saw his eyes and thought of the Saudi princes wearing their checkered head coverings.   So, I realized, that indeed, on some level, he IS an Arabian Prince!
