Rajasthani Man

This Rajasthani man was happy to be positioned against a large palm frond for a photo. His long wavy beard and the wrinkles in his face were very appealing to me and I particularly liked the contrast of the reds in his turban and beard versus the green of the palm. Olympus E-M1 and 12-40 lens at 1/80, f/5.6 and ISO 250. Richard

Oh my, what a splendid portrait.  The colorful clothing and the background are wonderful, but the amazing character of the gentleman makes this image.  Those eyes!  As an alternative, I would love to see a B&W which showcases the man and his expression without the distraction of color.

Really nice expression and outfit, Richard, and that beard is way cool. The palm makes for an excellent backdrop. Looks like you were at or near the long end of the zoom for that lens, just wish there were more room, especially at the top and bottom. I think backing away or zooming out a bit would work better.

Wow!   Such a powerfully expressive face - the wrinkles, the facial hair and the eyes that look directly into the camera lens.  It's a winner!

An expressive face for sure. Although the colors are wonderful and add so much to the image they draw attention from that face, Perhaps b&w would bring out the face even more. I would include the entire hand or crop it out. Marvelous image.

What an amazing expressionate face Richard. Even with all the bright colors and amazing beard, my eyes are ultimately drawn to his eyes. I am not sure what the expressions are here, friendliness?, worrry?, his face tells a wonderful old story.
