The Catch

A female Spirit Bear with a Pink Salmon. This old girl was the most patient fisherman I saw on the trip. She would stay in one place and wait for the salmon to come to her. She didn't waste any energy wildly chasing the salmon through the stream. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Lightzone. Comments and critiques welcome.

A nicely exposed image, but have to say this is not one of my favorites from this series.  To me the bear looks a bit awkward.  Still an interesting image.  TFS.

Great catch, nice pose and good amount of details in the whites.
But I would lke to see some details in blacks too.

I really love this one Jerry, especially knowing a bit of the back story with this "patient old girl."  She indeed does look a bit hunched like her arthritis might be flaring up a bit in that cold water.  This is all about the old bear and you have definitely provided that focus.

Another good looking bear, Jerry.  She stands out well in the darkness.  I find the lightness in the eye fascinating.

I like the perfect rounded arc of the bear's body.  If anything, it would be nice to have a little more "eye".
