A close shot of the eagle that was stealing the salmon in my last post.  I zoomed in as it was flying away and got a number of shots.  I liked this one because of the more unique wing positions.  You can see a little bit of the salmon in the back side.

Sony a6500, FE100400GSM @ 400 mm, ISO-400, f/5.6, 1/4000, hand held.

Love the wing position and that peek at the eye. The trailing water also adds a lot. Very nice.

Nicely captured Gary,
Lovely texture
On the negative side, for me the crop is a bit tight though, and the black frame accentuates just how tight it is.
I'd have liked a bit more space/water all around.

I like the pose a lot, Gary.  It does feel a bit too tight for my taste, but you can add canvas or do some creative framing pretty easily if you agree with me.

I agree that the wing position is fascinating in this image.  It might be worth trying to bring out a little more detail in the feathers.

Excellent detail in this flight shot.  I like how the head is framed between the wings.

Excellent and unusual position of wings.  I agree the black frame distracts and the bird would benefit from more space around it.  But very effective capture.
