Violet-green Swallow

I liked I was able to get fairly close to the swallow.  I wish the DOF had been better to obtain more tail detail.  This was taken from the car.  I like the background-green stuff on the local sewage pond.  The swallow is resting on an aluminum rail.

Thanks for looking.  Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Nice close-up, Allen!  I'm surprised that you caught one of these standing still!  Now lets see if you can get one this close in flight laugh

A nice close-up with an interesting bg, Allen.  To my eye the head looks a bit oversharpened in the larger image.

I like the colors in this image and the sharp difference between the perch in the background.  The bird stands out well while mirroring the perch and contrasting the background.
