Winged Coneflower

This coneflower caught my eye as it was a little different.  I used the "Cramming" Technique to get the blurred areas.

Nikon D800, D 300 f4 at f4, ISO 250, 1/400 second,handheld.

Comments and critiques always welcome.  The cramming technique is something I have been working on.  It does not work with all subjects.

Regards to all

Kathy

Lovely, delicate colouring, Kathy, and a nice placement of the flower in the frame.  I like the extra colour the cram introduces 9(especially the purple ) but wonder if the bright yellowish form mid R might be toned down and blurred a little, as it is a touch distracting.  Nice image whatever.

I love the colors in this, Kathy and the contrast between pinks and greens. Nice BG.

Nice job with the cram Kathy!  The POV is excellent as is the comp.  Good detail in the beautiful corn flower and good background.  The color pallet is very pleasing too.  I agree with Ian that slightly blurring the center orange bloom would improve this a bit, but I really like it as is.

For me, the soft colors of the background is what draws me to this composition.  Nice detail in the flower. Well done.

Love the execution of the technique...very well done. My only issue which is completely out of your control is the condition of the blossom which is a little aged around the edges. Still very nice...the bokeh and color rendering is awesome.
