Beautiful, Allen.  I love the soft background as well.  I have never seen a Purple Martin up close (so really didn't know what they looked like), nor had I ever seen one perched that I knew of, so this is really an enjoyable photo for me.

A nice look and it's neat to see one on a natural perch, Allen.  I like the composition of the branches, though I think a bit more dof would make it even better.

This is really excellent.  I really like the setting also.  It does look quite natural just sitting there on the spruce.  Nice pose and head turn.
