David amazing photograph, artistically beautiful. I like the colors too. I'm thinking technically the 3MP point and shoot camera couldn't get over the hump but the visual certainly did. I love the shapes and I can imagine beautiful rich tones and colors in reality. I can hear that camera saying .. I think I can ... I think I can, and it tried very hard. How far we have come.

This is quite a formation, David.  That "swirl" coming down from the top is a great addition that sure has me wondering about it's origin.

Well seen and well captured on your little camera.  Mind you, back then, 3MP was not so bad.  Like Mark I wonder about the processes that shaped this formation.  The cross bedding is continuous so there must have been some sort of erosive flow and subsequent mineralisation.

Very interesting shapes and colors.  Reminds me of a horse's leg down to the hoof.

Pretty neat little abstract, David. Kinda wish for less shadow, but nice for a quick shot in a passing kayak.

Love the lines and curves as well as the textures in your image, David.  Beautifully composed which must have been a challenge from a kayak.  One can almost see a humpback whale in the stone.  Nice.
