Rainbow Beams

I was on the way to Anchorage from Valdez and happened to notice some nice rainbow action going on around the distant mountains at the far end of this valley.  I had the 70-200 lens with the 1.4X TC on the camera because I was looking for wildlife but it turned out to be the perfect tool for this shot as it was quite far away.

Sony a6500, FE70200 @ 98mm, ISO-100, f/11.0, 1/40, hand held.

The rainbow beams are very pretty, and interesting, Gary.  Love the scene as well.  I would love to go back to visit Alaska.  Beautiful state.

Nice picture Gary. Might suggest brightening it up a little to create a little more pop.

I really like the scene. The colors, the clouds and just the feeling of the image. One thing and I don't know if you could even have done anything about it, the right side of the image above the green foreground seems a bit empty compared to everything the is happening on the left.  Still a pretty dynamic image.

Gary, a nice catch on this rainbow.  The "V" of the foreground does a good job of zooming one's attention to the bow and the interesting lighting of the distant peaks.

Gary, I think the V comp here works really well. Besides adding very nice depth to the image it takes one right to those wonderful light rays, great colors with a perfect mountain background. This is really nice! cool

The sky and mountain pretty cool, think the greens occupy too much of the image compared to the top.  Might consider tightening it up some and see how it feels to you.
