SURPRISE! GUESS WHO?

We had a storm a week ago, and some leaves stuck to the windows.  I have the flu and am really bored.  So, I looked closely at a tiny piece of a leaf stuck to my big windows.   I was surprised with a tiny predator, who had hidden behind the leaf waiting for "someone" to pass by...frown

She had carefully positioned herself to be perfectly camouflaged by the leaf, which was ...Just Her Color. sad  I had my zoom on my camera, so I photographed her through the double paned glass with a speedlite.  I wish, I'd grabbed my macro lens, because with so much dark, even the flash didn't separate her very well from her excellent hiding place.

So, I used some artistic skills along with a small weave, burlap texturizer to make the image better.  I, actually, like the effect!  Hope you do, too.  She was a very clever girl!

The spider is well hidden here, Lucy.  I really like the transparency of her legs.  I was thinking the texture was a screen.  I do wish you'd gotten the tip of that leaf into the frame.

Thanks...oh, the tip of the leaf is in the frame...it's bent up against the white window frame.  I thought the narrow window frame would be distracting, so I cropped it out.

Interesting techniques on both your parts, Lucy.  Nice job on the photography and the processing.
