Denali NP
Found this scene along the Denali NP road where private cars are allowed. I was attracted to the ground colors and textures and the rocks above. Please view large. All comments welcome.>=))>

Bill,

Fantastic.  Fantastic job seeing and pulling this from bigger landscape.  Perfect example, and a great example of using the longer lens to extract intimate landscapes out of the grander scene.  Love this.  The variety of colors and their transition from cool to warm is just wonderful.  The diffused light of course is perfect for the colors here.

Hard pressed to find anything to be critical of.  If I had a wish, I wish there was a skosh more of the golden brown ridge along the bottom. But I'm reaching.

A real fine image, Bill, one of your best. A great composition and you have some wonderful colors. It's an artsy image. There's a wonderful mixture of color and warm colors. Really hard to suggest any improvements. There is an unusual small round blue object top center right. It looks like a small pond but it's on the side of the mountain. It's really too dark to stand out but I'm just wondering what that could be.

Beautifully done, Bill.  This will make a fantastic large print.  Right in my favorite zoom range.  My only suggestion, and it's very minor, would be to burn the upper right and left corners slightly or just add a slight overall vignette to keep the eye from exiting at those corners.  I really love this one.

Such a very nice intimate landscape, Bill. I like how you compose the image and the colors are just amazing.

Really like what you have here, Bill. The softness of colors are fantastic, a wonderful balance throughout. I would be tempted to clone that top center blue spot out.

Wow, what a grand variety of hues, Bill.  You really don't get a sense of scale in this until you see the trees in the FG, then it kinda blows you away.  A reat treat to the eyes, especially the large version.

This is a neat take on this scene, Bill.  The view as presented and processed is strongly abstract with a great mix of subtle colors and shapes.
