Dewy Web

We had a nice foggy morning yesterday and I went out to see what I could find for this challenge.  I photographed this web including most of it, but the nearly obscured spider didn't seem to work at that scale so I went back and did a really tight crop.  I'm still not sure how well it works, but it's an improvement.

5Diii, EF300 f/4L IS, tripod and cable release, f/22, 1/40, 1so 1600, aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 4.3 MP before resizing.  Taken yesterday at 8:26 am.

Your comments and critiques are always appreciated.

Thanks

Dennis this is a very nice picture of the spider web, love the beaded water on each thread. Background color is very nice too.

Dennis, the collection of drops is great and their clarity is also great.  The background is nicely colorful and oof.  That long "tail" on your spider has me wondering if it had caught a damsel fly or some other critter with a long striped abdomen.  I'd say this view works quite well.

Lovely dew drops on the web Denis. Usually one may not find a spider in the near frozen web. Fine find and fine caprture

Dennis, it looks like the dew-drop-inn here.....sad    I actually have some old 35mm images similar to this but can't process them at this time. In fact, that looks like a similar spider I think it is a yellow banded leg spider or something along those lines. The BG itself has a bit of interest too, some kind of reddish thatching of sorts?......A neat take for the theme.....laugh
