Semipalmated Plover

We are hosting Cruisin' the Coast for several days, so I have been out every day this week at Gulfport harbor before the "pale invaders and tanned crusaders" crowd the beach and get the birds spooked. Here's another from yesterday taken from the roadway (not fond of the higher angle but my only option). There are many beautiful shore birds here, but to me the SP Plover is just plain cute. And being so small it's nice to occasionally have these little guys curious enough to come into close range for a few frames. In post I cropped 15% off top right, cloned some distractions and tweaked shadow/highlight a little. Hand held.

Nice light and excellent image quality, Bill.  The detail in the plumage is just right.

This Plover is really cute, and beautifully sharp and detailed.
