Out with the old

I captured this picture on driving through the Texas Panhandle. I was struck by the contrast of the old technology and new technology.  The deteriorating house adds emphasis to the passing of an era.

Excellent contrasting statements between the eras of the windmill and the power turbines, Ry.

If this was photographed in Texas I can almost guarantee the Tex Burdick family from El Paso erected that older Aermotor windmill. They installed most all of the units in the southwestern USA. There is a book on their installs called "Blades in the Sky".

What a great rural scene. Great contrast between the old and new windmills!

I am enjoying your posts a lot and I think all the other photographers would greatly benefit from your insightful comments and suggestions! You have a lot to contribute.
