The first Merganser hens have shown up in the Pacific Northwest.  I haven't seen any drakes as of yet.  The Mallards are here year-round.

Nice flight shot, David.  Excellent detail and these are fast fliers.  I like the reflection.

In the larger version you can see the amazing sharpness of this.  I think it's not often that we see such a good reflection in a bird in flight image.  Great job.

Nice catch, this one in flight - usually quite a speedy species....
