Very nice wing position and I like the eye contact.  This appears to be a large crop?  There is some noise and perhaps a tiny bit of over sharpening.  Still a fine image.

Excellent, Jagdeep, and a tough shot to get.  I like the sky showing through the wings.

Jagdeep: I really like how  you've captured the full wing spread. Techs are spot on. Richard

A great in-flight capture of a beautiful Kingfisher, Jagdeep!  I like the transparency of the wing feathers also. The large version shows a significant amount of noise, which doesn't make sense for only ISO-320 with that camera so I'm guessing it must have been a pretty significant crop?

Thanks friends!
The crop is not so significant, I'll try to reprocess the file and address the noise.

Jagdeep,
I have tried for years to get a flying shot of a Pied Kingfisher, never got anything as good as this.
I agree that trying to reduce the noise in the background would make for a better image, and perhaps a slight reduction in blue?
Look forward to the re-post.

Great capture! Not much I can suggest to improve. Nice blue background, the birds in focus, keep up the good work!  Ry
