One of the highlights of my trip to Alaska was driving the Denali Highway, with its views of the Alaska Range, seen in the distance.

The large version is a must-see. The detail and nuances of color and texture are real nice. The sky has lovely color, and I particularly am drawn to foreground and the rising fog. You did a fine job on this Mr. H..

Harley,
Hey, what's your theme or one of your favorite types of scenes? Wide open spaces? I think that's it. Well, you've got another for your collection. A grand vista indeed.
First I thought, why isn't he doing b&w? But then quickly thought how the vast landscape and depth would be lost, I think, going b&w. Great choice and work with the color.
What really makes the image for me is the band of boreal forest (right?) bathed in the ground fog. Just having that low lying fog is what gives this image depth and enhances that grand, wide open spaces feeling.
You've done very well holding the brightness in the sky, and the colors. I even like the bit of color reflected in the landscape. The distance has allowed some haze to be present, but that only adds to the mood.
Excellent AK grandscape.

Harley, a wonderful back-lit take here. Just the right amount of blue this side of the range and no inked up trees makes it work very well. Flew over this area many times. The range is very deceiving in height from this distance......

Harley, You and I shared a journey recently to Alaska, that land of infinite beauty. Your capture here is awesome! I especially appreciate the clarity and shading of the foreground, the mid-ground with rolling fog also provides a sense of distance, and the sky in the background adds such complimentary color and shading. The focal point of the mountains is just as it should be, They spell Alaska, because you just have the sense they go on and on forever. Maybe, and this is just an estimate, they would benefit from stronger detail? They seem, being as lighted as they are, a little bit disjointed from the clarity of the foreground. Anyway, like Alaska, this is a widely and wildly good photo!

The details in the foreground with the fog and the mountains look great. You've also got some fine colors in the sky.

Harley, Totally enjoying the larger view. What a wonderful (and beautiful) landscape this is. I love the foreground and then that mid-ground with the fog adds such a special touch. Then the Alaska Range in the distance...wow!! Beautiful image!

The sky is "just" on the edge of being blown, for my taste, but still not overwhelming. I like it!

Lovely grand scenic image. Shows off that vast landscape perfectly. I love the dark tones and the fog. They offer great contrast to the mountains in the distance.
