Bologna Sunrise

An early morning walk before sunrise in Bologna, Italy last fall. A beautiful city with great food and fewer tourists. Lots of culture.

On another note, there has not been a lot of participation in the Pop Gallery recently. I hope other NPN photographers will join me in posting images in this gallery.

Very interesting shot of an old city. Makes me wonder what's in the shops etc. I like the lighting, good detail in the shadows and I especially like the balance of the natural light with the lights in the "hallway" and shops across the path.
It does seem there is less posting as well as views and comments in this and some other galleries.

Real nice image of the old city. The lighting is great and the mix of the natural and electric really compliment each other. It is so nice to find a beautiful spot that is not overrun by people. Everywhere seems more and more crowded these days. Bologna sounds like an excellent spot.

That's some really striking light contrast, David. Makes for a strong engagement between the viewer and the image. The diagonals and the depth only heightens this.

Dave, this photo is very interesting. I like the colors and the lighting. It looks like 3 different images. Thank you for commenting on my photo. This POP gallery has so much to offer, I wonder why no one is posting? Maybe the time of year. Well keep posting your photos are great I love the one of the cat!

Great composition David. I love the contrast between the light in the dark. The street beckons you to stroll down its cobblestones for some of local pastry and espresso start the day. Keep up the good work. Ciao
