Don,

A quiet, lovely and pastoral scene.  The fog and mist really define the mood and atmosphere with this.

I'm so tempted to want to increase the contrast of the bg hills, but then you lose that mood.  This works quite well as presented - and I do like the clean contrast of the foreground trees that provide a solid base for the image.

The only nit is the farm house.  Yep, part of the landscape and aside from the presence of man, the roof is just a little distracting. But overall a very pleasing landscape.

Now I know why they call them the Smokies. I was first attracted by the low mist in this image. But as I looked more carefully it was the sense of distance that this image so well conveys that I like the most. Specifically the closest ridge and the following one have been rendered beautifully in post processing. I think that if you could add mid tone contrast to the distance forested ridges to match the second ridge it would improve things a bit.

You're losing sharpness by shooting at f/22. f/11 is probably  all you need. Nice work.

This has a quiet and peaceful feel to it. I like the misty light, and the receding ridges. My only suggestion would be to tone down the roof on the building--it really grabs my eye. This works for me, Don.

Don, this is a lovely scene. I like the layers of rolling hills that the Smokies are so famous for. The mist is very nice, but it looks very green to my eye. That nobody has said this yet makes me think its my monitor (or my eyes!) but may be worth taking a look at in your file. I also agree on toning down that roof.

The mist really sets the mood in this peaceful scene, Don. I could also see this working with a crop from the top to get rid of the sky and the ridges in the BG; not necessarily better just a different option. I too notice a green tint to the fog.
