Light Showers

I really want to thank you all for the comments on my previous post.
I love days when the weather is so unpredictable that you might see four seasons in one day. This was taken in the same place of my previous image but few weeks later and 20 degrees cooler cool
Some rain/snow showers were approaching while the sun started breaking the clouds illuminating the water. I decided to use a telephoto lens and the BW to enhance the lights and shadows.
Comments are always welcomed and appreciated.

Great dramatic moment!  The light rays are very cool, with enough of the background layers preserved to show the scale of the landscape.  For myself I find the dark area in the lower right to be a bit strong.  I think it's important that it's there to anchor the image and provide contrast, but maybe lightening some parts just a little bit might be interesting.

Mattia,

What phenomenal atmospheric conditions you got to witness and capture!  What a dramatic site. Going with the b&w of course boils this down to light and shadow which further emphasizes the drama.

I find the criss-crossing of light and shadow up top to be fascinating and unique.

I somewhat agree with Ana's comment, although fortunately the larger view does better in showing some shadow detail in the LR.

I'm sure you had a grand time experiencing and I'm guessing you have more than a few frames of the event.

Excellent conditions captured here, Mattia.  The darker mass of the bottom right does impose considerably on the overall comp, but  sometimes we are left with few options.  Very nice.

My kind of image! Excellent mood and light. The dark area does not bother me a bit. I am very much enjoying this one!!

Very lovely, and yet dramatic light, Mattia. The large version does show more detail in the lower right, so it works for me. I think you did a nice job on this, and B&W definitely works, here.

Could we have been on the same mountain ridge?  I only wish I was where you were.  Very dramatic as a BW, maybe wish a little more detail in the darkest shadows on the right.  Very dramatic criss cross of light and mountains.

The lighting here is truly mystical, Mattia. The rays and atmospherics lend this mountain landscape an air of mystery. Very nicely done.

Beautiful work Mattia.Good, strong composition. I wouldn't make the dark area any lighter but you could try to bring out more detail in that area if you wanted to.
