Splendour in the Grass

Gallery: WildlifePosted September 3, 201788 views6 comments

One of 4 young males who judging by their behaviour had just been forced from their pride.
A coalition of 4 healthy males will certainly bring some interesting times to the Robbin's area of Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe!

Excellent portrait of the young lion. I like the eye contact, the tight framing within the grasses.

"Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendour in the grass, glory in the flower, We will grieve not; rather find strength in what remains behind." Wordsworth.

Somehow an appropriate title.

Another beautiful portrait of this young lion Ken. I really like the colors of the grasses surrounding him and a perfect DOF.

Very nice composition with good detail. I like the grass framing the subject.

Excellent. You might try adding a touch of additional warmth to make us feel that African sun.
