Great detail on this one, Ken. Love those eyes and the nice look at the teeth..

He looks like he is sizing you up for a meal Ken. That eye really grabs your attention. Nice lighting and nice details.

Excellent, Ken.  I don't see many clear portraits like this out of water.  Wonderful color and background.  I also like the long shadow running across the frame, though I'm sure some might find it distracting.  It makes the animal seem more imposing somehow.

Must be viewed large to get full impact and appreciate how fine an image this is. If the shadow is a problem for some, a crop removing bottom just at top of the foreleg seems to work well.

Excellent Ken: fine detail and a great example of less is more. No need to see the whole animal, what is pictured certainly conveys its essence. Richard

Nice portrait in great light. The only thing that bothers me a little is the leg in the lower left. I wish there was either more of it or none of it. It is a bit disjointing to see the leg not connected to any thing.

Thanks everybody, I wondered about the leg!

Dandy.  Leg doesn't bother me, as it helps "lift" him into an active posture.  View LARGE.  Detail is stunning.
