I try these shots and the bee never seems to come out right.  To me, the bee looks spot on with good color and detail, especially the wings.   The zinnia is a bit soft on the right.  Nice contrasting colors.

The flatness of the flower petals makes a fine platform (pun intended) for the bee, Barbara.  The bee and the front half of the flower are nicely sharp.  Getting enough dof is a shot like this is a challenge that you've handled well.

Beautiful capture, Barbara.  Wonderful detail in the bee, and most of the flower.  It could be my monitor, but it seems a bit dark to me.  Maybe some others can share as well, so you don't just go by my monitor and yours.  My monitor is factory calibrated, and usually does a good job, but I wouldn't want you making any changes and they not be necessary.  Over all, it is a great shot.  Detail where it needs to be, and that is on the bee.

The bee and the Zinnia are just fine, Barbara. The BG is OK, but could use a little more blurring. Fine as is, anyway.
