A darling species which I used to shoot regularly, and haven't seen for 3 years now.

The yellow in this wasp really pops amongst all the darkness, Balan. I'm wondering what the attraction is with these dried seed heads. I got a close up view of wasps feeding on Saturday, and it was similar, in that they were grazing on the surface of milkweed leaves and kept at it for 10- 20 minutes.

Wonderful macro of this little guy, Balan. I too like that the darker background makes him stand out nicely. Great shot.

The wasp stands out very well in the dark BG. Having been popped by these more than I wanted in an outdoor life, "Darling" is not the adjective I would have used!
