I love the results that many get from stacking but for me the greatest challenge is the decision making and intricacies of single capture. Spotted this pair of Star of Texas hibiscus on our patio and went out to shoot them yesterday morning. The light was good but a bit of a breeze was coming up so I had to be patient. The BG is pretty messy as well so my goal was to keep both centers on the same plane of focus. For me a hibiscus image has to have sharp center parts. I'm pretty pleased with how this came out. Very nice, Bill. Like xmas in August. Excellent dof management and detail in the centers, and a very eye-catching result.

I like the composition as much as anything, Bill  It all feels natural and spontaneous and the darker, contrasting-color background does a good job of keeping the focus on the flowers.

Your succeeded very well in getting both business ends in the focal plane, Bill.  A very good image and a tough one to pull off.  You also handled the bg very well.
