Chestnut Back Chickadee with cranberry.  Taken this morning around 7 AM.  This is the beginning of what is forecast to be an exceptionally hot week with temperatures predicted to reach 103+ by Thursday where I live.    This is very unusual for the Pacific Northwest.  Portland, Oregon is expected to reach 109 on Thursday.  Dennis Plank could see 106 where he lives.  Think cool thoughts for us.  (We rarely get above 90.)

Beautiful capture of this little Chickadee, David.  I like the way he has his head turned, and some food in his mouth.  Outstanding image, with wonderful detail and the perfect perch and lovely background.

Very nice, David.  Excellent detail and I love the cranberry.  I think you may have backed off on the whites a bit too much-the cheek patch is looking pretty gray on my monitor.

Do you have cranberries in a feeder or are there bushes in your area?

The tif file is less grey so here is a repost with compensation.  The cranberry is from a feeder...

Oh, playing made you look with us, hunh, David?  Large version has great color and I love the overall balance. That perch with the mosses is once again choice. Very nice.
