Canon EOS 7D Mark II EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM +1.4x III @560
f/8, 1/50, ISO 500
Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metering
Imported into LR, initially processed in Adobe Raw, further processed in CC PS 2017.

I think this one is brighter, and it definitely has a better view of the eye.  I posted the other one because I thought it was cute, but I understand about the eye.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Yes the eye looks a little funny but you could clone the catch light in such a way to make it look more natural.  Detail is good.  Brightness levels are appropriate.    Is there a fill flash used?

Thanks, David.  No, fill flash is something I need to learn to start using when and if I can use my camera and lens again, but I haven't ever used it yet.  (And this is the last image I have to post unless I have weekly challenge images already taken to post.)

Nice detail in the Bluebird and good exposure, Barbara.  I'd be tempted to reduce the brightness of the patch over the bird and lighten up the rest of the bg a bit.  It's so dark that it makes the image look like it was flashed.

Nice pose and detail here Barbara. It is a really bright blue bird.

Yes -I would certainly try to lighten the BG Barbara
These always remind me of Disney and Uncle Remus  I think it was.

Hi Barbara
You did a nice job on the exposer and detail. The kick of the eye adds to the photograph.

Here is a lighter/brighter version with the eye cleaned up and a cloning error corrected.  Please let me know what you think.
