This photograph was taken at the same pond I shot the Swans in at Hammonasset Beach State Park, CT  I had just finished with the Swans and saw this Cormorant taking a sun bath.  I  adjusted the Exposure, Shadows, Clarity and Vibrance in Lightroom.  The shot was cropped into a 5 by 7, from full frame.

Nice one, Peter.  The exposure of the dark plumage looks excellent and you caught the typical Cormorant pose nicely, with the open beak being a really cool bonus.  The blue eye also pops nicely.

Good exposure on this.  I also like the open beak, but is it just me, or does part of the inside of the mouth look blue?

Nice to be able to get this close.  Good color and detail.  The open beak is a plus.

Hi
Thanks for the comments.  I went back into Lightroom and reduces the blue in the mouth.  It must be a color shift in the black?
