I was standing on an observation dock overlooking the river, photographing Purple Martins, when this crow started dive bombing me.  I took shelter in a nearby gazebo, but he still made several passes.  He finally landed on this branch and I got my revenge.

You did real well here Alan.  You got the Blacks down pretty well and you controlled the highlights on the feathers well enough to bring out superb detail.  There's no magenta cast to note, which is something I find that is hard to battle when trying to balance between the highlights shadows and the blacks on these birds.  Nice composition and a fitting background.

Superb detail and a terrific pose, Allen.  I'm not sure about the exposure of the crow-it looks just a hair too bright on my monitor, but if the light is right, they can reflect quite a bit.
