Yaquina Head Cliff

I noticed this cliff with the lichens and small plants at Yaquina Head BLM site in Oregon. I liked the colors so I took one shot and was impressed with the assortment of colors and jagged cracks.  I did some slight curve adjustments with Luminosity Masks for Darks, Midtones, and Lights. I finished it by bumping up the brightness and contrast slightly.  300 f4 (1/100 sec at f7.1, ISO 500) slight crop for comp due to an OOF boulder in lower portion of original file...........................Jim

An interesting study of the cliff, Jim.  Lots to explore.  The darker band on the left with gold lichens is particularly nice.

There doesn't seem to be a single point of interest in the image. With that said, the green plants cause my eye to move around the image and the darker area on the left draws my eye through the image. Well seen.

Good catch to notice and compose this.  The colors and textures provide interest when viewed closely, and the darker variations on both sides frame it well and provide context.
