Painted Bunting

Passerina ciris

This is one more shot of the Painted Buntings from last weekend. It was kind of an unusual location to shoot in. These birds were at a rock quarry. There was a small tank of water in the processing yard and these birds were coming down to the tank to drink. Lots and lots of waiting!!

Another beautiful image of these beautiful birds, Matt. Excellent job on the dof with the entire foreground in good focus and a nice soft bg.

Matt:

This is very nice. I much prefer this image to the first painted bunting you posted. Nicely captured

Beautiful light and detail here Matt. The green perch and background offer the bunting up really well. Lovely image devil
