I photographed these two Willets on the Back River in Old Lyme, Ct. They were just in the getting to know you stage of spring. I used Lightroom 5 to adjust the hightlights, clarity and vibrance. The shot is cropped by 20%.

Good detail in the birds and a pleasant setting as well. The spread wings makes this for me. Good capture.

Excellent work, Peter. Nice detail in both birds and the rock with a good composition and interaction. If I had to come up with a nit, it would be that oof rock in the lower left corner, but I don't think you'd want to crop that high and it would be a pretty tricky job to clone over it.
