Water, Water-WC

I took this image last November on a very overcast and windy day at Bandon Beach, Oregon   It was almost high tide and the waves were already touching the cliffs so there was no way to walk on the beach. I decided to take a few shots of the whitecap waves from the parking lot overlook using my Lee Big Stopper.  I like the way the ocean waves turned out but was disappointed to discover that there must have been a little camera shake caused by the high winds because the sea stacks edges are not as sharp as they should be. After processing in Lightroom, I used Photoshop Oil Paint Filter to blur the edges so the misalignment is (hopefully) not as apparent.

The colors and textures in the surf are great, Paula.  In the larger views, the slight softness of the sea stack edges seem to fit well with the blurred surf.  Yes, the high winds most likely did cause some camera movement.  You can reduce that by shooting off of a shortened tripod, which (or course) would require a clean look over the cliff.  I do think this would look fine as an enlargement

Lovely, Paula.  Your repair work is imperceptible to my eey and I like the subtle blues of the water and the softness created by the slow shutter speed.
