I seem to go for more dramatic and dappled lighting. This is from the Chicago Botanic Garden.
single exposure, D7200, 18 - 140 @122, f11, 1/320, ISO 320,  full frame, some burning and cloning of BG and a leaf tip in the way.
What do you think? Should I burn down the BG more?
Comments and advice appreciated.

I like your lighting, Dan.  The only thing I'd think of doing to the bg is dimming the hook shaped leaf right in front of the flower more as it pulls my eye quite a bit.

I would follow Dennis' advice. I would also like at least a look at a slightly brighter flower.

I like the flower, but the background on the left is just wierd enough to be a bit of a distraction for me.
