Down the Stream

I took this in the late afternoon on a little stream that had glorious smooth lines above the rocks and a little white water below. The reflections of sky and green leaves, plus the rocks under the water made an interesting and fun challenge for me. I'd be interested in your comments on this as I wonder if it is too dark, and/or too busy?

Canon 5dM3, IS0320, 105mm, f/18, 0.8 sec.

Thanks in advance for any comments or critiques.

Fantastic as is for me, though viewing in my phone frown.  There is a mysterious nature to it, think brightening would lessen it. Great colors and abstractness to it. Nice eye for this.

This is a unique and wholly fascinating image.  It's abstract at a certain level and completely real at another.  It engages the viewer in many different ways.  Well done!

This is a really jewel, Kathy.  I mean literally a jewel.  Visually captivating and beautifully done.  No nits for sure.

Love your river detail it looks like Murano glassware at the front with all those delightful colours infused within it.

The lines, shapes and colors work exceptionally well together in this lovely abstract image and the light is sublime, Kathy. Beautiful image.

The more I look at it more I like it. Diagonal line separating two parts, superb reflections on the lower part and swirls. Fine job.

Hi Kathy, moving water abstracts are a favorite of mine and this view looks great. You've got a fine combination of colors below the diagonal and sense of movement in the upper parts.  It's definitely not too busy.  I don't think you want to brighten the darker parts, but I do wonder about some lightening of the colors in the lower left quarter.  In my mind that might let that area of the image carry a bit more interest.

What a wonderful water abstract. The light, colors, shapes and textures all blended together so well. Nice work Kathy!
Not too dark or busy for me.

One of the best images of this type I have ever seen.  In addition to all the points made by others, I particularly enjoy dappled light which adds to the beautiful complexity of this image.  SUPERB!

Kathy, this is a great, moving water abstract with it's distorted reflections, some fine water motion and the view of the underwater rocks.  I think this looks great as presented.

Pretty cool.  The reflections off the water look like colored mercury.  Congrats on the WP.
