Spring

This is another try to do HDR and blending on a sun shine scene. As the sky was just an area between the trees, I did not want to darken the tree top so I did not use GND in this image. This is a hand blend of a few shots. I tried to maintain the contrast and the colors of the trees on the right as seen, while exposed correctly the trees on the left.

What do you think?

Thanks,

A beautiful scene, and you've done well controlling and presenting the wide dynamic range. I believe there is some haloing in the sky around the trees

This is a peaceful scene, and I like the addition of the sun star. The colors are very spring-like and it's a challenge to avoid sun flare in this situation, which you managed to do. The blending worked well, with the possible exception of the sky.

Bo, the composition and light here are beautiful. I love the way spring trees pick up the light. I agree about the sky needing some work, and the edge of the right side trees are noticeably darker than the rest of the trees as well. With a bit more attention to the the blending, you'll have a great image here.

Thanks to all.

The halo was not from blending, but from adding a bit contrast, which is now removed. Does it look better to you?

This would be a beautifully peaceful scene, without the sunburst, Bo,  The sunburst adds nicely and fits well with the brightness in the foreground grasses on the right.  The blending in the sky has some challenges where the sky shows through the branches.  If you're using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, check out using Luminosity masks.  One good source for those is Tony Kuyper's web site, https://tonykuyper.wordpress.com/
