We had to wait for what seemed forever for this youngster to come out in the open just before sunset, it was an only child and therefore very nervous.
Taken in Khwai Conservancy Botswana.
EOS 1X MkII
200-400 mm F4 at 320 mm
F5.6
ISO 1600
1/320

Many times photography is a waiting game.  Was well worth your wait with this image. So cute and innocent looking.  Boosting the saturation or vibrance might give it more impact.

A fine look at this youngster, Ken.  Well worth the wait.  The intense gaze is great as are the bright reflections in his eyes.

Thanks everybody, waiting also gives you sometimes the chance of bird shots .
Saturation not enhanced as I preferred the dull light that reflects the reality.

Nice facial expression, catch light and detail. Also the light is really soft and nice.
