Eagle with lunch & RP

I shot this about a year ago and finally got around to reprocessing it.  This was essentially a grab shot taken soon after I got my Sigma 150-600 mm contemporary lens.  It was shot into the sun and I was fairly lucky to get as much detail as I did.  I reprocessed the image using luminosity masks to bring out more detail.  That is a clam hanging from the ducks foot.

Iso 200, Sigma 150-600 mm at 550 mm, F7 .1, 800th, D 750, 45% of full frame, handheld, Topaz and TK five luminosity masks and actions

Wow, talk about one unlucky duck. Parts of the eagle appear a bit over sharpened to me but the subject matter is awesome.

Looks too smooth to be an oyster, David.  I'd go with some kind of clam.  A good job of the reprocessing, though with that strong backlight I don't think you'll be able to get an image that doesn't look rather forced.  The blue tinge and noise on the body are particularly noticeable.

I like the story and the potential of the image.  It looks like it is just over processed. Between the sharpening and the color balance that just doesn't feel quite right.

Here is a repost done from the original raw file.  I think this is a processing improvement.  The sharpening is minimal in that it was done for print.  Any further comments are really appreciated.
