Montecito Jungle

I went for a hike in the coastal mountains on St. Patrick's Day and the coastal fog offered up some interesting views. I took the liberty of removing a few houses partially hidden in the trees. I enjoy how the fog makes a very high-priced coastal community look a bit like the faraway jungle.

I like the pano crop that accentuates the layers of trees and bands of fog. I also like the subtle color. Nice job on this, Harley.

Do you think those people will miss their houses? enlightened

You have some really nice colors here and they contrast nicely with the fog.  I might add some noise reduction to the sky, but I like this a lot.

A very fine image, Harley. It does look like Amazonia or Vietnam from a distance. The appearance of a cloud forest rising above the clouds. The panoramic aspect shows the vastness of the land. The morning sidelight gives color and definition to the trees which I think adds a lot to the image. I like this very much.

Harley,

Going along the lines of Igor's comments.  Actually, this could be from just about any where in the world, well, except maybe your back yard... really, I'm thinking Brazilian jungle, Vietnam, etc. too (even before reading comments.)  A beautiful mix of fox and trees going down the center of the image, which connects the top and bottom.  The morning light is lovely.

I wasn't really looking for it, but I did notice some repeating cloning remnants in the LLC.  I suppose I never would have notice had you not mentioned the missing houses... angel

Pano crop is perfect here.  Well done.

Cool!  Definitely looks like a jungle, and I like the range from warm to cool in the fog.  This is neat; well done!

Wow, very nice capture, Harley. Nice to be packing the 5500! Have pity on the local natives that can afford to buy shoes for their kids sad.

Great layering you caught Harley. I like the pano treatment; it sings in the larger version.
