New Green in the Fog

This is a local lake, more like a pond, in a park that shines with the new, green leaves of spring. Well, they are green, but also yellow. "Nature's first green is gold," as Robert Frost put it so well. It was a foggy morning and I liked the mood the fog created. I would be very happy to have your comments and critiques. Thanks in advance.

Fantastic Kathy!  Dreamworthy!  Well seen, constructed, and captured.

Kathy,

This is fantastic!  Delightful and Bill already stole the word, this is dreamy.  Painterly too; many words to describe this.

Actually this might even fare better with the smaller view; I think because it's more condensed and the dreamy look is enhanced.  I was actually going to ask, but yet another image from you that you could have fun with using an Orton (or similar) technique.  But even without doing anything else, this is just a wonderful image.  Beautifully seen and captured.  Love this!

Lon

This is wonderfully soothing, Kathy. The high key presentation works nicely, providing a lovely sense of luminosity.

Very painterly mood which I like.  A real softness in it that works well for the subject matter.  The bare soil area caught my attention, as it is surrounded by greens.  If so inclined, could clone some of the grasses on the right into it, or just tone it down a little so it doesn't jump out.

Beautiful Kathy. Love the softness the slight mist provides and the nice yellow/greens reflected in the pond. Wonderful.

As everyone has said, "painterly"..."soothing"....  I agree.  Makes me want more ...as if the other half of the pond on the left would  weight it evenly.   Nice job processing...hinting at HDR without letting it be rakish and an obstacle.  Well made!

Looks like a painting from one of the old time Impressionistic masters!  I am impressed that you managed to keep that lovely soft look to this whole image and yet the sense of detail and sharpness is just right. What a joy to look at!

(FYI, it was  -9 F this morning, and there is still nearly 2 feet of snow on my lawn!!!  Long time until green leaves come out around here!)

Another lovely one Kathy! This has much of the feel of Bare Oaks, but with a very different color scheme. I love the softness you've processed with. devil
