Canon EOS 7D EF400mm f/5.6L USM
1/400 sec;   f/7.1;   ISO 640
Manual;   Evaluative metering
LR5, PS6, Topaz DeNoise on background, Smart Sharpen on bird, Curves adjustment layer to lighten everything, full frame

I'm sure I'm weird, but I really like the webs in this picture, and how they help frame the mockingbird.  I also like having the two branches, so I didn't crop out the branch on the right-hand side.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

There's a lot to like in this image. I like the relative lack of color, instead showing a good assortment of grays. That works well with the mockingbird's plumage. I also like that the mockingbird is relatively small in the frame. Although there are lots of "busy" branches and twigs they do a good job of framing the subject. And I, too, like the webs.

I also like this photo.  I have recently realized I have ignored this bird as a subject and am searching for a good setting.  You did find yours.  I do like the branches framing the bird and the webs making a second frame.  Good capture.

Barbara: I too like the double framing done by the webs and branches. Nice to see something different and good. Richard

The framing with the webs and branches works well and is rather unique.  I also like the out of focus background and I don't think this would have worked with a busy background.  Nice pose with the head turn in the bird.  Well done.

Barbara, I like this a lot for all the reasons that have already been stated. The cobwebs rock! laugh

Very nice, Barbara. The webs and the understated color palette make the shot for me.

Lovely photo! I absolutely love the way the branches and webs frame the Mockingbird. You executed this one quite well!
