Icy Puddle

An early Sierra morning with an iced over puddle about 2 inches deep. The granite rock in the upper left made for a nice anchor/pivot for the lines and bubbles in the ice. The ice was gone within an hour of sunrise.

Continuing the outer space theme, I see the edge of the universe here, Dave.  I'm thoroughly enjoying the mix of large swirls and tiny dots (that look like they may be bubbles).  The warm colors from the stones set all of the chilly ice tones off very well.

Nice abstracts with good lines.  Textures and layers are wonderful.

A wonderful abstract study of shapes, lines, textures and colors, Dave!  The color contrast between the blue ice and the golden rocks really gets your attention.  The bubbles are a special bonus and the square crop works quite well also.

I have been fascinated by puddle ice, Dave.  I didn't realize it was a thing, until I did a bit of research.  Love the curves and contours here and the granite rock sets it off nicely.

The curves bursting out from the right site against the granite make this a very dynamic composition.  Excellent work narrowing this down to the essential lines, shapes and textures.
