One of my favorite places in my home state of Michigan. This is right near the shore of Lake Superior where the wind blows constantly. I actually stood in front of this scene for nearly four hours, cable release in hand waiting for the wind to die.

Hasselblad X-pan, 90mm, 15 seconds @ f22, Fuji Velvia at ISO 40, (you all remember film don't you?)

Not exactly sure why it appears so red until you expand the image in the detail viewer?

Excellent composition and such beautiful fall colors. I really like this panoramic format too. Yes, the wind seems like it is always blowing there...sad One of my favorite areas too. I put many rolls of Velvia 50 through my cameras along with E64 and E100S.

I really like the pano crop. The detail is excellent, as are the colorful leaves against the white tree trunks. Looks good to me.

There does appear to be a red/magenta cast to the birch trunks.  The color and placement of the red maple is perfect.  It looks a bit crunchy on my monitor.

Eye popping color, and wonderful comp.  15 seconds is a long time for leaves!  I can't think of a better place to wait  for 4 hours. (Well I can, but you came home with results!). I like the lead in with the dead fern base at the bottom.  As Gary mentioned, there seems to be a magenta cast in both versions on the trunks.  Love the scene.
