Intimate Landscape/redo

I saw somewhere one time something about intimate landscapes, and I liked that phrase.  It's the only kind of "landscape" I feel an affinity for trying to photograph.  To me, this is an intimate landscape.  I'm glad the Limpkin is there, but I didn't know it was there until I looked at the image.

Gainesville, Florida

Canon EOS 7D EF400mm f/5.6L USM
1/1000 sec;   f/7.1;   ISO 640
Manual;   Evaluative metering
LR5, PS6, very light Topaz DeNoise on all of it, Topaz Detail on all of it, the tiniest bit of saturation and brightening (+5 each)

All feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Limpkin or no Limpkin, this is a very nice "intimate landscape",  Barbara.  I like the inclusion of the pond and reflection.  The layers of vegetation, color, and fog are also very nice. I think it is tipped a little ccw, but other than that, very nice.

This is a fine image that IMO would have looked better with the filter processing. The filter effects are particularly noticeable in the shadows on the mid left area.

Great colors and mood with the bit of fog. I would agree with Gary that it could use a bit of a CW rotation. Very nicely done!

Thank you, Gary, Igor and Harley.  I had done 1.5 CW rotation, but I added another .5 here and did 2.  I still added the Topaz Details filter, but with the very lightest settings.  Do you think this is better?  Thanks again.

I prefer the repost, Barbara. The color and detail look much better, and the tilt adjustment helps a lot. I like the light and the bit of mist hovering in the trees.

Barbara,

This is just so warm, inviting and has a painterly look.  I too would describe this as an intimate landscape; these are the views I'm always striving for.

The composition is so inviting, with the reeds framing both corners and the waterway leading the viewer in to the scene.  I think this would work without the bird, but is a bonus that does contribute to the scene.

I would agree with the comment on the slight ccw tilt, but that's minor.

Beautifully seen and captured!

Lon

oops, just scrolled down and see the repost.  that look's great!

The repost is much improved.  The light on this little scene is nice and the mist adds to the mood.

This is pretty.  It's fascinating to look at, and I could see this being printed large and hanging on a wall.  It has a very inviting, calming feel to it.
I prefer the repost.  It seems cleaner.
Nice comp; it seems to invite you in closer.  Well done!

Barbara: I like how the mist has softened the landscape yet still allows the vibrancy of the colors to show through. There's a very calm feel to your photograph and the repost is an improvement.  Well done. Richard

A lovely, warm yet moody view, Barbara.  Part of me would like to see this without the touch of mist across the middle, but is a wonderfully inviting scene as presented.  I can easily imaging being there sitting quietly in my kayak (or even on the shore).
