Hidden Lake, Glacier NP
We dipped down into the US for the last couple of days on our Canada trip last summer and spent too little time in Glacier. On our final day we hiked up to the Hidden Lake overlook. It was cold and windy but certainly worth the effort. I had to weigh down the tripod to combat the breeze but was able to get three shots that registered well for this HDR result. It did make me wonder how bitter this area could be in the winter. All comments welcome. >=))>

Beautiful scene, Bill.  The scale here is impressive and the diffused light helps you capture all of the detail in the scene.

Good capture of some truly BIG country.  The large version really shines.  Good comp; nice job of showcasing the majesty of the scene.

Bill, a fine look at Hidden Lake.  I like the balance between the peak with it's bits of snow and the lake circling it's base.

Bill: this is a stunning image and must be viewed large to be appreciated. The light, subject and composition are spot on. This one deserves a place on your wall. Congrats! Richard

Bill,

Fabulous mountain landscape. Even despite the scale and size of the mountain, all is balanced well with the glacial lake and foreground landscape.  The sky is a bit neutral, but at least some texture and contrast in the sky as to not be a detriment to the scene.

Great job with the capture and processing - looks great!

Real nice image, Bill.  It really captures the essence of Glacier.  There appears to be a halo around the peak that I would put some time into before printing.  You had a wonderful trip in some awesome country.

Jaw dropping scenery, Bill. No sunrise/sunset drama here, just a grand mountainscape in fine light. Well processed.

Nice scene Bill. I like the circling lake and the unmistakable center of attention of the huge mountain with nice light on it. The large version has wonderful details. I could sit and stare for a long time.
