I don't know why but when I reduce the resolution, the picture quality goes down drastically...You can see some of my photos at

Thank you for the guidance and encouragement that every member is giving to me

The image quality here is not very good. That could be due to several reasons.

(1) An ISO of 3200, even with stellar DSLR performers, will result in noise.
(2) A shutter speed of 1/400s with a focal length of 500mm could also be problematic. A good rule of thumb is to make sure that your shutter speed is equivalent to 1/focal length. In this case the resulting shutter speed would have been 1/500s. If you hand held the camera, there was probably some degradation in image quality with this slow shutter speed.
(3) An f stop of F16, if you are shooting in aperture priority, dictates a slower shutter speed than say f8. The only time I use an f stop higher than f8 is if I have multiple subjects in a frame and I am trying to get all of them in focus. I really can't think of a situation where f16 is needed in an image owitha single subject.
(4) Equipment. You don't mention what lens was used here. Sometimes, certain lens are just not very sharp.

Also, if you could post a larger version, it would help in critiques. There are instructions on the NPN web site on how to post the different size images. The best way to get better is to keep shooting and posting and paying attention to the suggestions. Good luck.

Hi Nishand.  You sent me an email saying you use "view NX2" for editing.  Since I shoot with Canon equipment, I can't provide much input on what might be degrading your image quality.  I'd suggest you post a detailed description of the procedure you follow for preparing an image for posting in the Digital Imaging forum and ask if someone can help.  There's probably someone familiar with that software who can give you good instructions on how to resize in a way that will work.
