I took this photo of the female Red-Crested Pochard, late afternoon in direct sunlight. Illumination, front and back was further effected by reflected sunlight from various boat hulls. White light helped accentuate the concentric pattern of water ripples.

Wonderful resting pose, David.  I like the just slightly soft look to the plumage on the near side of the duck.

A nicely centered view of this Red Crested Pochard.  Certainly a deck that we don't see in my area.  A very interesting and different pose.  The water with the concentric circles nicely frames the duck.

She looks shy. The water looks amazing and the details are very sharp. Great frame David.

Excellent light and pose. I could see a bit more of a pano crop and perhaps a bit of CW?
