Foggy Great Blue Heron

Another image from a foggy day at Ridgefield NWR.  I did little to alleviate the fog in this image as I liked the softness it created in the bg and the way it worked with the grey of the heron.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 293 mm, beanbag on car window, f/9, 1/400, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 15.7 MP before resizing.  Taken at 10:19 AM on December 21st.

Comments and criticisms are appreciated.

Thanks,

Nice position of the bird, and I love the soft fog.
I never get tired of GBH's!
Nice work -

I like this well enough, with the GBH creeping along in the fog. I could wish that you had gotten a better spread on the legs. The bottom portion of both legs look like they were glued together.wink

Just the right level of fogginess, Dennis.

Nice.  You've definitely captured the foggy weather we've been getting in the NW lately!  And I'd say you've made the most of it, a good complimentary background for the gray heron.
