Bosque Beauty

This is a shot of one of the crane pools with lots of snow geese and cranes in the water with more coming in. While it is impossible for an image to completely capture the beauty of Bosque, this one comes close for me. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2017) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I have never been there, but this image does give a good view of the area. Usually photos from the area are focused on the cranes and other waterfowl not the features of Bosque. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jerry:

Yes, the Bosque is a tough place to try to capture the essence of being there. Having seen this place many times, this image begins to share it. For me, as presented this image is a bit on the dark side and needs some selective work to make it shine.

I took a quick crack at it. Hope you don't mind.

A fresh view of the crane ponds, and very effective IMO. This really has a nice mood. Well conceived and executed.

Keith's rework is a better image but your shot is much more as it is in those early evening hours.

Sorry Jim but this is not evening light, it is morning light. I was most certain it was and I verified it with Jerry, and in the morning it looks a lot more like my suggested version.
