I like that tall tree on the left. It gives a sense of perspective and supports the vertical framework nicely. I really like the distant forest, particularly the right side. The beautiful half circle arc of the waterfall is probably the focal point for me. My only nit are those leaves over the water dead center. Maybe it's my eyesight but there don't seem to be branches connecting to them. They seem to be suspended in midair. Not a bigee.

Sandy,
Classic and still a beautiful view. Everything in fine balance starting with the flow of the stream. Although I've never been, it's pretty clear about the terrain and access to this view, and so with that I think the inclusion of the ground simply supports the overall composition and works well. I'd say the same about the tree, although I wish it weren't there; but by incorporating it fully, it works with the overall composition.
I see Igor's point about the suspended leaves, but we don't have a large enough view to make any further judgement - and indeed a minor point.
Lovely fall image from this spot.

Igor, the orange leaves over the middle are from the branch on the right. You will see a few more individual orange leaves closer to the shore. Thanks for the comment!

I love the color and tonality in this, Sandy. Honestly, I am on the fence with the tree on the left and the branches coming from the left edge. That said, it balances with the two lighter trunks upstream. I love the forest in the background.

I recognize that scene! This is a classic for a reason and you have captured it nicely, Sandy. For better or worse that tree is in every version of this scene that I have seen. Short of getting in the water I don't think it can be avoided. You had some nice color when you shot this.

What a gorgeous scene, Sandy. I really like it and don't have any critiques to offer. I've read through the other comments but I didn't personally mind the tree or any other element...it all felt like part of a cohesive scene to me.

A classic view of autumn! I like the tree on the left....heck, I like all of it, especially the water flowing over that rock right there in front. This is the quintessential autumn image. Sweet.

A beautiful fall image, Sandy. I like this composition and of course love the autumn colors. The flow of water looks great and I especially enjoy the small falls in the front. Very nice.

Beautiful Sandy, especially with the fall foliage. I hope this area survived the wild fires.
